Remembering and Celebrating my crone wisdom

This June is my 60th birthday. I believe I can now officially be a crone. My friends, my sisters and my mother have served as great role models for  how to age into cronehood as  strong women.

I look forward being a crone and to this "Third Act"of life where I am more creative and less preoccupied than I have ever been before.

However, like many of you, remembering can be a challenge.  The mornings when I can't find my keys, my cell phone, my briefcase, my calendar etc and I think of how I am wasting so many precious minutes of my life in the frustration of trying to find these "tools" of daily living..

But more important to me is how to create the memories that will keep me inspired, motivated and focused on being my best self.  The "Third Act" for me includes identifying and creating my legacy and I want to stay connected with those ideas and images that will reinforce this awareness.

This morning I read a fascinating article by Gary Wolf of www.Wired.com about the software program "Super Memo" created by Peter Wozniak. This software  is designed to have the ideal algorhythms for  optimal learning. In this article, the author describes joining  Wozniak  for a 40 degree dip in the ocean. Wozniak does this to "stimulate" his system.....He also advocates the importance of disconnecting from the conventions of social life.

Here are a few reminders from this article that inspire this legacy journey into cronehood:

Changing a pattern may require a shock to the system--
like taking a dip in the cold ocean.
What patterns in my past changed when my life was turned upside down?
What patterns am I ready to change now and which patterns will I postpone shifting until there is enough "stimulous"?

Unplug.  Immersing into the world of the unconscious requires us to disconnect for a time. Although our connection with others; to love and beloved is crucial to our happiness, unplugging gives us a powerful lens through which to view our life.
Sometimes unplugging feels too hard, too scary and too time consuming. The truth is, that even just a few minutes a day  of  being in the theta brain wave state, accessing our reflective voice, and connecting with our soul can totally shift our perception; bringing us "home" to what  it is that we truly want for our lives.   My crone wisdom flows most freely when I take the time to go to the place of "unplug" .

Imagery takes me through a process of seeing and experiencing my intentions and implanting them in my unconscious mind- where my creative memory lives.

Even though the "Third Act" of life will bring continued searches for my cell phone, keys etc, it also brings me the opportunities to receive and share crone wisdom.

This  legacy, continues to blossom, despite the challenges of aging.   For here  in the garden of inspiration  my crone is alive and well!
I recently created this SoulCollage(R) card.
It was inspired by a dream I had several years ago (during an especially difficult time in my life) in which my crone came to bring me back to life.

She certainly did.......!
